Sample College Application Letters

When you enter high school, it is a good idea to be thinking about what colleges you are interested in attending and what major you are interested in studying.  The reason for this is that your coursework in high school needs to be adequate to meet the admission requirements of the colleges that interest you, and of those of the department where you will be majoring.  Before starting high school you should already be thinking about some of your future college and eventual career goals.  Many colleges will also require you to write an admissions essay.  It is important to prepare in advance for this vital part of the admissions process.

Here is one example how you can prepare a letter to the colleges for which you wish to apply.

It is common to use the two-letter code of your state.  The five-digit ZIP code is adequate.
