Find a Study Abroad Scholarship
If you are looking for a study abroad scholarship for 2013, consider that there are several options. Remember that if you are studying at a college in the United States, there is a chance that your college has a campus abroad. This is the easiest way to study abroad. All you have to do is apply for their program to spend a semester or a year at their campus overseas. If you are already on a scholarship, you will likely be able to apply the same scholarship to your semester or year at your college’s overseas campus. If not, make sure to look into special scholarship opportunities that are offered by your department and by the student services center.
The second easiest way to study abroad is by participating in the International Student Exchange Program (ISEP). This is a network of colleges and universities around the world. Check to see whether your university is an ISEP participant. If so, you can submit an application via the student services center to spend a semester or a year at a school abroad. Remember, you might not get your first choice of institution. So you should carefully choose a second, third, and fourth option. The great thing about ISEP is it allows you to pay the same tuition, fees, room, and board as you are currently paying at your home college. If you already have a scholarship, you will likely be able to apply it for your semester or year abroad with ISEP. Stop by your student services center and inquire about special ISEP scholarships to help you pay for your study abroad, as well.
